Bruthem

Massive and heavily armored, Bruthem prefer to graze along the banks of rivers and along coastal swamplands until the opportunity to go after suitable prey presents itself.

Bruthem seem ponderous and slow-moving in the shallow water, but once they are on the hunt they move with surprising speed. They also do not easily give up once they make an attack. If the Bruthem has enough distance between them and their chosen prey, they will charge forward and make a mighty bite with their four-part jaws, followed up by an attempt to trample. Bruthem have a +2 on their attack roll when attempting to trample an opponent that is human-sized or smaller.

The hide of a Bruthem can be fashioned into very durable (and fashionable) armor in certain places, sometimes fetching as much as 1d8x100gp if the hide is relatively intact and well tanned.
