FUBAR Cards

Our first attempt at working with the Go Deck Yourself site has resulted in a revised 10-card FUBAR deck that is intended to accompany the ' Extraction OP: Beta Cygnus III/Codename BRAINTRUST' adventure that fans of the Tcho-Tchoids will most likely recognize--yep--it takes place on a planet that gets Dhole-Bombed...

The FUBAR deck is ready for download off of the Go Deck Yourself site.

We'll probably need to revisit this and clean it up a bit, once we've gotten caught-up on a few things. Consider it a Work In Progress.

The FUBAR deck can be used in any number of scenarios besides just the one we're building, and it could probably be adapted easily enough to most RPGs or skirmish systems. This preliminary deck works fine for Rogue Space and it could make finding caches of ancient weapons/equipment in Mutant Future or other post apocalyptic games all that much more interesting, with a little tweaking. Maybe we'll do a more Medieval-like version for use with Labyrinth Lord...

  1. Great fun - they've got a Red Dwarf-meets-Alien camping trip in space feel and the fact they can be used across systems makes them very useful. The tables add to the variability and should keep them fresh for a long time - and they're common problems after all. I think a lot of us like just this kind of mood in our sci-fi.

  2. @Porky: Glad you liked the cards. They're still a little rough and we'll probably tweak them a bit before we're done with the adventure.

@Sylvia Ney: Hello and welcome to the blog! Good luck with the A-to-Z Challenge. With over a thousand participants this year, it's going to get really busy, and there will be a LOT to choose from out there. Thanks for dropping by!
